pushmepullyou

Some of my favorite screenprints come from Eleanor Grosch of Pushmepullyou. Animals are a constant subject in her work, which I love, since I have a similar, weird obsession with creatures. I own two of her prints and they are wonderful. I love her utilization of simplicity and shapes (it reminds me a lot of Charley Harper). To buy a print, visit her Merchline shop. And on another note: I'm taking a blog break, so there won't be any updates until the new year. Have a great holiday and see you all in January!

Following the previous post about Dolan, their spring 09 line features gorgeous bursts of color, a nice contrast from the muted tones of their resort collection.

chroma lab

Chroma Lab is a two-person team of Alicia Cornwell and Tony Bevilacqua who take neglected but promising pieces of furniture and transform them into something great again by repairing and repainting the old with colorful new paint jobs and quality finishes. I am in love with this deep sea dresser pictured above. And in addition to their furniture, Chroma Lab also fabricates unique clocks and durable floor cloths. Make your home a little bit brighter: chromalab.etsy.com.

agendas by vikki wiercinski

I really love these agendas by Vikki Wiercinski, a graphic artist located in Edmonton, Canada. These are so fun. The covers are made from a vintage silk scarf wrapped on board and silkscreened and the interior pages are drawn by hand and include tipped-in items like stickers and pockets. Each agenda is 122 pages and includes 54 weeks and 13 months that are undated so you can start anytime. Buy one at Vikki's Etsy shop or at Uppercase Gallery.

Andfurthermore's clocks are a little retro, a bit modern, just a touch dainty, and utilitarian to boot. They'd be perfect for a kitchen nook or to brighten up a workspace. The clocks shown above are 6 inches in diameter, made of soft plastic, wood, and acrylic paint, and retail for $24. Larger $28 clocks are available in the shop as well. All clocks arrive ready to hang and run off one AA battery.

The number on the bottles are permanently imprinted and represent the amount the bottle can hold, either 32 ounces ($32) or 8 ounces ($22). And you can feel good about buying one: for each carafe purchased, Three Potato Four will donate $1 to Action Against Hunger.
