I love these new enamel pieces from Jonathan Adler. Enamel is a modernist material that's tough and never goes out of style. The aesthetic shapes and bright palette in Adler's collection would add fun pops of color to any given room. See the whole collection here.

Part decorative and part functional, these raven hangers by Ingibjorg Hanna Bjarnadottir are for displaying your coat or favorite items of clothing out in the open instead of stowed away in a closet. The ravens hang from the ceiling by steel wire and when not in use, work as an ornamental piece. Available from Birkiland in white and black for $32.

Jaren Goh has designed a vintage shelf that's reminiscent of classic design but is found within a more modern, contemporary form. The merging of the two brings the past and present together, making it workable in any sort of home.
Hi is a collection of 30 different postcards by Ray Fenwick, all featuring his trademark hand-lettering and illustrations. In Ray's own words, the postcards will "inspire your infinite pleasure." Get yours from Chronicle Books for $9.95.
Utah's own Ritzy Misfit (of North Ogden) makes these cool solder pendants that are made to look like wax seals. The pendants give the feeling of being beautiful, unique and rough around the edges at the same time. Each one is melted and stamped by hand so no two are alike. You can choose the degree of character yours will have from clean and round to rough and inconsistent. These are so hip that Jillian of The Bachelorette has even worn one on the show this season!

The illustrations of Russia-based artist Eika Dopludo (Karina Eibatova) are so fresh. I love her color sense and ability to take on different styles. Check out more of her work on Behance and Flickr.

Here are some of the latest items from Amy Ruppel, an artist that currently lives in the Pacific Northwest. In her work, she often depicts birds and woodland animals in their environments. I really like those decorative skateboard decks. Be sure to also check out this previous post about her state bird prints.

I don't think I could love Koo De Ker more than I already do and I have only been there once. I stopped in the boutique last weekend and somewhere in between taking these photos and scoping out the fabulous clothes, I decided I need to make this a monthly thing. The owner, Kyong An Millar, has filled her shop with cool summer dresses and skirts, flowy tanks and tees, and a good selection of jewelry and designer denim (including Hudson and J Brand). Basically anything you need for your wardrobe can be found here and the best part? It's so good for your wallet. I took home a teal skirt for only $30. It's easy to see why Koo De Ker has been around for so long (eight years now!). This place is a gem in a crowded market.

This cave is residence to the Sleeper family who live in a 17,000 square-foot hole left in the earth from a sandstone mine. Located in Festus, Missouri, the house is a few miles from the Mississippi River and 45 feet under a forest. The front is made from glass and used materials. See more images here.
