blog move

Hi everyone! I've been working on an update to my design and illustration portfolio for the past couple of weeks and with a new portfolio site comes a new blog as well. I felt like I just needed a fresh start. I've moved my blog over here and would love if you would follow along. I'll be disabling this blog soon, so please hop over to my new one if you'd like to continue reading! Hope to see you over there.

betty bond tees

About a year and a half ago, I had the privilege of designing the logo and initial t-shirt designs for Betty Bond, a startup graphic tee company. I'm finally sharing the results of the project here. The company was female driven with a focus on creating fun and whimsical designs.

an update + 2015 studio on fire calendar

Well, it's been a long time since I've written in here, but I'm happy to report that I'm back! It's been a crazy past year. I finished my first year (and almost second year) of being a freelance designer/illustrator, began working a fun job at lululemon athletica, completed my first half marathon and moved. There's so many things I wish I had shared but didn't have the time to. I'm changing that and am making it a priority to write here again. I hope you all will continue to read.

One project I wanted to share is the 2015 Studio On Fire Calendar. I was invited to do two illustrations for this year's calendar under the theme of folklore. That couldn't have been more perfect! I have a fascination with folk tales and mythology and this was a fun way to put a spin on it. My pieces were based on totem poles and the legend of Wishpoosh. Studio On Fire did such an amazing job with the letterpress printing. Since we are already into the new year and as a special thank you to my readers, you can get 15% off this calendar (and anything else) in my shop using the code YAY15. Code is valid through the month of February.
